Youth Legal is recruiting a committed and experienced Community Care Supervising Solicitor to join their growing team and play a key role in supporting vulnerable young people and families across London. The role involves advising and representing young people aged 16-25 and families with children on complex community care matters, from one off support via their advice line to representation throughout a case. They offer free legal advice at their office based at Devas Club close to Clapham Common and Clapham Junction. Their legal advice line provides telephone advice to individuals and advisors, and Public Legal Education to young people and families with children, and advice to support workers through training sessions and seminars.

Switalskis is recruiting an experienced, commercially minded and motivated Legal Aid Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer to join their Costs Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of legal aid billing, CCMS/SILAS and high costs work who is looking to work within a specialist and supportive environment. You will play a key role in maximising recovery of legal aid costs across a varied caseload while providing expert advice on funding and legal aid costs issues. These positions will be based in their Tottenham office. The role will include costing files, creating Legal Aid claims and generally assisting in the smooth running of the billing department. The role also includes assisting the Immigration department with new private client enquiries. At times when the need arises, the role will also include reception and switchboard cover.

The main purposes of the role are:

• To work with the Coram Children’s Legal Centre Senior Project Officer to support their legal administrative and legal education work.
