In 2020-21 we were able to develop a bespoke management and leadership training programme for existing and aspiring managers from right across the non-profit specialist advice sector. This year, through the support of the Legal Education Foundation and the AB Charitable Trust, we were able to offer 24 places on this prestigious programme.

Places are available to individuals who are currently managers (up to and including CEO’s) in the non-profit specialist advice sector and to individuals who are likely to be the sector’s future managers and leaders. The programme launches in April 2022. Normally the full cost of the programme would be £3,000 per participant but we are able to cover that cost because of the grant funding received. This means that places are FREE but participants must commit to attending the whole programme.

The programme is delivered over 8 days between April and December 2022. In addition, there are 5 tutorials held across the same period. As well as face-to-face online teaching there is also access to a wealth of written materials and videos, all available through our learning platform. Trainers including Vicky Ling, Matt Howgate, Phanuel Mutumburi and the Centre for Charity Effectiveness will cover topics including:

  • Strategic & Operational Planning
  • Financial Management
  • Leadership, team dynamics and people management
  • Quality standards, risk management and policies & procedures
  • Diversity, equality & inclusion
  • Data management and use, charity governance & regulatory compliance
  • Communications & Fundraising

Applications for next year will open up in a few months. We will keep you updated.

If you would like to join the programme then please email the Management & Leadership Hub Director Matthew Howgate.

Matthew can answer any other questions you may have about the course.

We are planning to launch our next Programme in early 2023.
