AS A MEMBER OF LAPG, YOU CAN ASK US QUESTIONS RANGING FROM LEGAL AID OPERATIONAL ISSUES TO PRACTICE-SPECIFIC MATTERS

Send an email to policy@lapg.co.uk giving us as much detail as possible

Please make it clear if you want your query to be anonymous. If you are happy to be identified, please confirm and give us a case reference.

We first assess, after checking available resources, whether we can answer the question ourselves or need external help

If not, we run it past the Advisory Committee and ask for their input. If they can answer it, we will provide you with their feedback

If they cannot, we might raise it at a specialist group meeting. The SPG meetings are attended by ILPA, HLPA, ACL, The Law Society and others.

Or we will raise it at the quarterly Civil Contracts Consultative Group

Or with the Process Efficiency Team (PET) group meeting

Or directly with the appropriate team at the LAA or MOJ

And, finally, we will put everything together in an email and give you a detailed response!
